Baldwin Senior Center
11/8/2021 - SENIOR NUTRITION CENTER OPEN.
The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of St. Croix County is excited to announce that we are reopening Senior Nutrition Sites for in-person dining on Monday, November 8. The Glenwood City and River Falls locations will only offer Grab-n-Go or Home-Delivered Meals for those who qualify. Contact the St. Croix County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) at (800) 372-2333 or the Baldwin Senior Center (715) 684-2979 with any questions.
Services
The Baldwin Senior Center is located in the same building as the Library, Police Department and Village Offices (400 Cedar St.). The Baldwin Senior Center is an organization/program that offers a nutritionally balanced hot meal and a place to socialize for individuals age 60 and over. The program is not income based. We offer a nutritious meal to people at an excellent price, a suggested donation of $4.00. All of our meals are homemade and over seen by a nutritionist. (Reservations are requested for the lunch meal. Please contact the Senior Center at 715-684-2979 to reserve your meal).
Activities
The center has a lot to offer. We have activities for everyone everyday. The "Table of Knowledge" (a group of people discussing current events) meets Monday - Thursday at 8:30. Dominoes starts at 9:00am on Mondays and Wednesdays and Bingo is played Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30. Cards are played every Monday at 1:00. Other activities offered through the year include card making, movie nights, numerous field trips, holiday parties, painting, woodcarvers clubs and much more.
Meal Program
The Baldwin Senior Center also offers a home-delivered meal program to people who are 60 and over and are unable to prepare adequate meals on their own. Other people that would qualify are care givers or spouses who are in need of respite meals or disabled co-resident of an individual who receives meals and disabled persons under the age of 60.
Transportation
The Senior Center van is wheelchair accessible and is available to transport residents to and from their medical appointments in Baldwin and shopping trips every Wednesday to the grocery store.
